Mural repair for a Cave Creek home
This mural was masked by painters so they could spray paint a new base coat on the surrounding walls. Unfortunately, as is often the case, when the house was built, the original painters had probably not primed the drywall before painting or had not cleaned the walls before painting, or both. The result was that when the “safe-release” tape was removed, it stripped the paint down to the original drywall where the original base coat hadn’t adhered properly. To repair the mural I filled the patches with a lightweight spackle to smooth the surface and then painted them to merge with the original mural.
